Sometimes I like to play the sharing gifts game – one for me and one for you! I like keeping little gifts on hand all year round, and this is the perfect time to stock up on them. These gifts are perfect to cheer up a co-worker or friend and I keep them on hand to gift. I love putting a goody bag of them together as a hostess gift as well. Here are some of my favourite sharing gifts – and they all provide good value as well!
1. Sephora Collector’s Edition Fragrance Sampler set. Yes, the main thought behind this set of trial-sized bottles is that you can try all the scents and then find one that you really like. Take in the coupon that comes with it and you can get a full-sized bottle. But – I found that some of the fragrances were ones I had already sampled (Marc Jacobs Daisy among them), and some I didn’t like from first sniff so those were better off used to gift to friends who might enjoy them more. The bottles are so cute and look just like their full-sized counterparts so this really is a good little gift to give. $85 means that you get a big bottle and all the minis for one price.
2. Lip Balms from The Body Shop. The Body Shop comes out with holiday lip balms every year but this year they are in cute vintage metallic tins!! I get their cranberry lip balm every year because of it’s tint and pretty shimmer, but this year I’m carrying it around everywhere with me and because the packaging is so great I deem these worthy to gift. Each lip balm is $8.
3. Travel-sized goodies from Aveda. If you like good things in little packages also pick up a few Aveda Hand Reliefs. Given to any friend they will be a source of relief in this weather. The cute bottles retail for $3 and if you get 3 or more of their travel sized products you get one of Aveda’s gift bags too so you can package your goodies nicely.
4. Mini Bath Oils from Jo Malone. The Jo Malone Bath Oil gift set is probably one of the best values this season. This is of course a great gift to give someone all together, but the miniature bath oils are perfect to gift to a variety of friends to encourage them to spend some time on themselves. It’s also nice to give a more high-end gift for a fraction of what the regular cost would be. The Bath Oil Collection is $95 which means that each bath oil is about $15.
5. Dermalogica Stress-Relief candle. The truth is that the holidays can be stressful. Many people are trying to finish off work before thy go away and with family and friends visiting, the stress to stay on top of your game is constant. Dermalogica’s stress relief candle is small enough that it cam fit into a purse or overnight bag and a few deep breaths of it’s soothing herbal aroma can go a long way. Perfect for men and women in your life, you can get this from Dermalogica retailers. Cost for the candle is $18.
