Oh wait, I was skeptical but now I’m not.
Skeptical about what?
The Body and Leg Shine from The Body Shop.
I tried this on my arms, forgot about it, and put a long-sleeved shirt on. Later that day, as a rolled up my sleeves, I noticed that my arms were still sparkling gold and smelled great.
I wouldn’t try this if I were wearing something white, but it’s a great product otherwise. It’s a one-up from those gold-tinted oils, and the gel stick feels cool going on which will be great when weather warms up.
Find it at the Body Shop with the rest of its summer collection.

Hmm, interesting. But, how long before the sticky feeling goes away? I’m one of those that uses the least amount of moisturizer possible (and HATES body butter) because I can’t stand the uncomfortable feeling of the product lasting on my skin.
It’s not sticky at all, it’s just cool-feeling and then you forget about it!
Does it feel greasy?
no greasiness or stickiness, people, this is a gel that dries and stays on!
The Body Shop makes great products so I have no doubt that this would be worth it.
Sounds great actually! Thanks for the tip!

Being a lazy self-tanner, this sounds interesting. Does it have a bronzing effect?
Yeah if you buy the darker colour and depending on how pale you are! It does add a bit of colour to your skin. I agree, if you haven’t been able to self-tan or don’t like the semi-permanency of that, this is a good product to go to.
I just picked up Jergens Soft Shimmer moisturizer, but as far as I can tell it just makes your skin glittery. I didn’t notice any tanning effects, although I’m sure it will look great once I get more colour on my legs. The Body Shop stuff sounds better! Out of curiosity has anyone tried both?
I have, I have!
Hmm, how are they different… I think the lotion isn’t necessarily for everyone because you might not feel like putting a lotion on when it’s really hot out. The Body Shop product is cooling and because it’s in stick form, it’s a lot easier to apply, especially if you’re in a rush.
At the end of the day, both do just make your skin glittery or shimmery, but that’s the whole point – they’re for effect and make your skin look nice, especially in pictures and at night!
Awesome, thanks for the response.
