Cover Fx SkinTint FX Foundation

I realize that it’s been a while since I’ve done a foundation review, but the fact is that good foundations are hard to find and after trying everything Bobbi Brown, I’ve become hard pressed to find a line that’s better.

Cover FX’s Skin Tint FX comes really close to satisfying though.

This is a lovely silicone-based sheer foundation that instantly absorbs oil and can make your skin look flawless. The formula is perfect for normal or combination skins and on me the foundation lasted all day long. It’ll also work well for dry skins as long as you use a moisturizer under it. The great thing about silicone is that it works well over everything and there’s a good chance that you might not even need a primer before using this foundation.

My only qualm is that the label says that this is a treatment as well and besides being a mild moisturizer, I don’t think this will seriously repair anyone’s skin.

Skin FX has a great line of products and you should check the selection out at your local Sephora or Shoppers Drug Mart when you get a chance.

I shall have to give this line a second try. I tested out their products almost two years ago…and found it much too heavy and not all that subtle. Who knows, maybe it’s gotten better since?

Betsy, it had been years since I tried CoverFX foundation and when I did before I too hated it. I found it to be too thick and my skin got oily so quickly. I think that the reason I liked this one was because it was quite sheer and so it looked natural, plus the silicon in it absorbed a lot of my oil.
