Dior Couture Fall 2008

By Jenna Rocca
Please enjoy these obscenely gorgeous ensembles, courtesy of Dior Couture ‘o8 from Galliano’s genius show that revives the flawless aesthetics of the 1920s and 30s, updated as they never before have been. Pictured above is Coco Rocha.

The makeup in this collection is also out of this world. Pictured, Catherine McNeil.

Some of these models look like completely different people due to the simple yet masterful act of raising the brow-line. Ah, if only I knew how to properly use sprit gum. I think this whole show basically confirms the pivotal role makeup plays in all fashion ensembles, no less couture runway shows. Some other designers still don’t get it. Below, Denisa Dvorakova, who I think looks better than she ever has in her whole life:

Below, Hye Park.

WOW. Denisa’s garment is out of control. You’re right about the eyebrows, it really opens up the eye and give them a sultry look.

coco looks fierce in all sense of that word.
