Do I Need a Toner?

Many of you are wondering: do I need a toner?

The short answer: it depends.

A toner is a great way to add some omph to your skincare routine. If you have dry skin, a toner can take away dryness and add a layer of moisture before moisturizer is applied.

But perhaps the best use of toner is for those who have more problematic skin. A toner with salicylic acid can be a boon for skin suffering with acne. One with glycolic acid is perfect for those who want to get rid of scarring or wrinkles.

Reversa, Neostrata, and Clinique all have great toners worth checking out.

  1. Glycolic acid toner saved my skin. If I don’t use it daily after washing off my makeup, I break out, no questions asked.

    LOVE the Neostrata brand!

  2. I agree on the oomph factor – my face always feels fresher with toner. I use one daily with salicylic acid. My skin is sensitive so this is a great way for me to exfoliate without using a physical scrub type product.
