Estee Lauder’s Fall 2009 Collection

I don’t know what’s happening these days, but it seems as if collections are coming out earlier and earlier. Estee Lauder’s Fall 2009 collection, named Sensuous Gold is slated for a July counter date. That means that either it’s already on counters (Holt’s is usually the first to get their products out there) or it’s available for presale at through your friendly Estee Lauder counter person.

Anyway, Sensuous Gold is a very pretty collection and reminds us that Estee Lauder’s aesthetic is for the every-woman. You get colours that you can play with, but at the end of the day, you’re going to get a soft and pretty look more than anything else.

The colours are pinks, roses, and mauves and everything from the eyeshadow to the lip colour is tinged with hints of gold shimmer. It’s really quite pretty.

One of my favourite products is the Gilded Rose Marbelized Shimmer Powder. Not only is it absolutely beautiful to look at, but it has a nice combination of bronze, pink, and gold powders that you can blend into one. This would be nice in the fall for a fresh faced look, or you can combine it with your summer bronzer to create a cheek colour that’s more on the tan side.

The shimmer powder is $42.
