Favourite Moisturizers: Lightest to Heaviest

These are amazing moisturizers from lightest to heaviest. ⠀

Starting on the left: Aveeno Calm+Restore Oat Gel moisturizer has a super slippery texture and lovely finish. It’s the lightest of the bunch and great for all skin types, but very dry skin will find it’s not enough. It actually has oat kernel flour in it (in small quantities, I’m sure) so it will help calm skin. Unfragranced also, so if you are sensitive to that, this is for you. About $30 at drugstores and mass merchandisers. It is $26 on Amazon right now, with a $3 off coupon available. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

In the middle: Antipodes Culture Probiotic Night Cream. What’s the difference between a night cream and a day cream? Not much, I would say. Sometimes I prefer a heavier night cream, but if my skin is super dry, I like to use something heavy during the day. Anyway, this Antipodes Night Cream has Hyaluronic acid and probiotics to help calm skin, and like all Antipodes products, this smells absolutely divine. It also has oils (jojoba and meadowfoam) to ensure that skin feels comfortable. Most mornings, I use this cream because it is so moisturizing. ($70, but if you sign up on their site, you can get 15% off.) Available at Well.ca, The Bay, and the Antipodes website. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Finally, Lise Watier’s Lift & Firm Y-Zone cream is the thickest and creamiest, thanks to the addition of shea butter. It also has Bakuchiol which has been shown to help collagen production, and because it’s so rich, this is the one that I use most nights. $88, at Shoppers Drug Mart, or on LiseWatier.com.
