A Trip To The Salon

Hair Color From Aveda

You read about how I had a good experience at my local Aveda Salon and Academy, and I’ve got to tell you that I had my color done there as well.

For $160 you can get an Aveda Educator to highlight your hair, and I was thrilled with mine.  She put in peekaboo highlights, which are highlights that are put under your hair and inside it, rather than right on top.  The result is highlights that show mostly in the sun, but it’s also a multidimensional color that doesn’t look completely flat.  I was thrilled with my color and highlights after they were done, and so glad that I went to a colorist who was very experienced and worked with what I wanted (which was low-maintenance color).

Find the Aveda Salon and Academy near you for your next coloring appointment.  The color left my hair super shiny and soft, and I’d go there again any time.

  2. Michelle, highlights usually cost upwards of $150… $160 from an educator and not a new stylist is pretty standard, if not reasonable. Highlights from the run of the mill mall salon will probably run you about $180+… No, it doesn’t compare to the box price, but you’re getting a service, not just the colour.
