L’Occitane Shea Mom & Baby Cleansing Gel Review

You’d had to have given a baby a bath to know how difficult it is to take clean a child who can’t hold up its own head. You basically do everything with one hand because the other one is supporting your child’s neck. Baby soaps that need to be squeezed on to your hand before rubbed on to your baby require a third hand because there’s no way you’re going to take a hand off your child even with an inch of water in the tub.

Loccitane Shea Mom & Baby Cleansing Gel

Thank goodness the people at L’Occitane have realized that because they put their baby cleansing gel in a pump bottle! That means that you can actually take soap out with just one hand and rub it all over your little one’s body. I love that the gel is clear, which means that it’s a little more gentle (think: less additives). It also smells nice and clean yet slightly warm which is a great smell for a baby.

Also: it’s a huge plus that you can use that on both body and hair which means you have one less baby product cluttering up your bathroom.

At $22 this is more expensive than the drugstore baby products, but completely worth the price simply because of the packaging.

Also, don’t invest in the Shea Mom & Baby Cream even though it’s certified organic: it smells way too strong and would likely irritate sensitive skins and noses. It might be great for an older child, but by then maybe they can use regular body cream anyway.

So true, Henna! We love the Live Clean baby products (they also have a hair/ body wash) but it doesn’t come in a pump :( We tried to turn it into a foam cleanser using an empty foaming hand soap container we had, but it isn’t ideal, LOL! Thanks for the product tip – love L’Occitane!
