Inspired by the beach and sea, Bobbi Brown’s latest collection offers a mostly natural look accented by navy, which remains chic any time of year thanks to its close proximity to black.

The highlight of the collection is the limited edition Nude and Navy Eye Palette ($60) which has 6 neutral and nude shades in a range of finishes, a taupe for contouring, and a deep royal blue for a touch of colour.  Shades in the kit are: Ivory, Cement, Blazing Star Sparkle, Beige Shimmer Wash, Twilight Pink Metallic, Naked, Slate, Rich Navy.

Our personal favourite product, however is the Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Steel Ink ($23).  It’s a navy base with dark grey shimmer in it and it wears almost like a faded shimmery black.  It’s not black, but more of a blue-slate liner with a hint of shimmer.  Gel Eyeliners are the only ones that we’ll use because it’s so easy to draw a clean straight line with them.

Also part of the collection is a Navy nail polish ($18), and lip glosses in Honey (sheer nude beige/brown), and Sailor (sheer pink) ($24 each). Both are best worn with a dramatic eye because they’re so under the radar. If you’re a Bobbi Brown fan, these won’t be a surprise to you – they are classic Bobbi Brown shades because they work so well with all skin tones and are easy to wear glosses without any shimmer (we love shimmer-less glosses around here!). There’s also a new Brightening Brick in Pink ($58). The Brightening Brick is a mix of sheer pink pigments that impart a hint of colour to the skin.
