Rainy Day Mascara

The problem with some waterproof mascaras is that they don’t live up to the quality of their regular counterparts. They either clump or don’t perform at all. Still, good waterproof mascaras do exist and it’s important to have one at this time of year since it’s going to be snowing outside! As I walk through the snow, sometimes fluffy snowflakes get caught in my eyelashes and I run the risk of having my mascara run. So: when the forecast calls for precipitation, I pull out my rainy day mascara.

My pick? L’oreal Voluminous in Black. I find that this mascara easily makes my lashes look thick and luscious. I’ve also tried Voluminous Full Definition mascara and to tell you the truth, I couldn’t really make out the difference between the two. Both are excellent regardless of whether you choose the waterproof version or the regular.

Have you ever tried Kiss Me Mascara? It goes on wet like a normal mascara, but when it dries it forms a tube (yes you heard right) around the lash. It can’t smudge or run because it’s not a paint compound. The only way it comes off is the combo of warm water and pressure (like from a shower head).
It’s a celebrity favorite. A little weird at first but once you try it you’ll never go back.
Pricey though – around $30. Just don’t go to Sephora – they charge over $30, at Blossom it’s under that.
