Starting today, May 12th, The Body Shop is lowering its prices on 300 products throughout its stores so that you’re paying fair Canadian prices. That means, that you no longer have to buy your Body Shop products in the U.S. to get value for your money. I, for one, commend the Body Shop on this, and couldn’t be happier!
If you’re wondering how prices compare on cosmetics in general, you should have a look at U.S. websites and then compare it to prices of items in stores here. The differences are baffling and quite frankly Canadian customers are being ripped off. The only thing you can do is not purchase items from Canadian stores if you can help it. I should add that the discounts don’t just evade us when it comes to face creams – clothes are the same, and one friend who returned from a business trip told me that she was “never going to shop in Canada when prices in the U.S. are almost wholesale in comparison.” Well said!
Again, I’m a huge fan of shopping online, and if nothing else, it’s good for comparison shopping. Shopbop.com ships everywhere in the world and they have fantastic sales so if you know your jean size for a particular brand, I’d just get it from them. They also have a great selection of designers if that’s more your style, and a friend of mine recently bought a Marc Jacobs bag from there at a good price, so take a peep. Also their models have excellent makeup!
