Too Much Airbrushing

This is news. Julia Roberts’ and Christie Turlington’s ads for Lancome were pulled in the UK because they’ve been too airbrushed. The worst part is that Roberts’ contracts demands that Lancome never release pre-airbrushed pictures to anyone, so the company couldn’t even release them to the advertising standards board!

What do you think? Would you want the images pulled in your country, or do we just know that Julia Roberts has wrinkles and that foundation isn’t going to make us look like her.

  1. Then the UK should also pull the Rimmel London ads featuring Zoe Deschanel. Some of those ads are so photoshopped she’s unrecognizable!

  2. Henna says:

Well this ad got taken down because someone reported it… When someone reports the Rimmel one, they’ll take that one down too, I’m sure.

Actually, it’s interesting because Rimmel is a British company and Lancome is not… we’ll see if that has something to do with it.
