Beautycounter is the brand that should be your go-to when you’re trying to find a gift for someone who likes natural yet luxurious things. Their products are made with what they call “safe” ingredients. They’re suitable for even the most sensitive skins.
One of my favourite gifts from them is a lip balm set called the Kiss Kiss Gift Set. It contains a peppermint Lip Conditioner and a rose-scented Lip Conditioner. If you’ve ever tried the famous Smith’s Rosebud Salve, or the By Terry Rose Lip balm, this is very similar but more natural (whereas the Smith’s and By Terry were both petroleum-based).
The gift set comes packaged in a beautiful red box.
The ingredients for the Peppermint Lip Conditioner are:
Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Cera Alba/Beeswax/Cire d’abeille, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Olus/Vegetable Oil/Huile végétale, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter,Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil*, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil, Candelilla Cera/Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax/Cire de candelilla, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Lanolin, Tocopherol, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil. (*Organic/Biologique)
The ingredients for the Rose Conditioner aren’t listed on the site but they feel more-or-less the same with the main difference being in the scent.
I’m pleased that the peppermint Lip Conditioner doesn’t burn my lips (they’re not super sensitive, but still), but it does have a slight peppermint taste.
Best of all, the gift set is $52. Available online.
