The craving came for a jammy apricot note that reminds me of concentrated orange juice. It’s sunny weekend mornings, Scandinavian blonde wood furniture, and a room luxurious in its sparseness. The perfect perfume for when there’s a lot going on.
Eagle-eyed perfume lovers asked me what Carthusia perfume I had when I showed my mini fridge last week, and it’s an old bottle of Aria di Capri. I’ve never talked about it because I enjoyed wearing it but never knew what to say. I didn’t have enough of a point of reference to really be able to describe it but last week I was craving it and I figured it out.
Aria di Capri reminds me of old-world chypre perfumes like Rochas Femme or Mitsouko and since I have neither off those in my collection, this hits the spot. A perfect spring or fall scent.
