No Home Run….but a solid base hit
Ask any baseball fan about the New York Yankees and you will receive one of two replies – they either love them or hate them. However, regardless of your feelings for the team, Derek Jeter always commands the respect of baseball fans young and old alike. Building upon the success Mr. Jeter has found on the baseball field comes his new line of men’s products – Driven (by Avon)
I tested out the Driven: Rush brand of Body Wash ($9) and Cologne ($25) over the course of a week and found that, just like Jeter, they were consistent and did the job when called upon.
The cologne has a sharp, crisp smell and instantly provided the image of getting suited up after a big game – much like Mr. Jeter has done many times before hitting up the New York nightlife. The body wash is similar in quality to the cologne and provides the necessary fragrance that a shower product should.
My only gripe with the cologne is that it is maybe a bit too similar to other “body sprays” that are on the market. The creative minds at Avon would have been better served by attempting some additional fragrance choices to separate this brand from the rest of the colognes branded by athletes.
Bottom line, if you are looking for a gift for the Yankees fan in your life the Driven product line will get the job done – just like Jeter.
