Dzing! by L’Artisan Parfumeur

Iconic or overhyped?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Oct. 30

L’Artisan Parfumeur’s Dzing! smells like a barnyard, cotton candy, and vanilla. It’s weird and wonderful and reminds me of all the reasons I like niche perfume. Maybe people appreciate it even more now that it has been discontinued, so it has acquired a bit of a cult status, and I guess I have a few of those in my collection.  But recently, I’ve seen lots of people look for a bottle or a sample, so someone out there is talking about it.  I do like it but you can find a similar vanilla in Bvlgari Black or in Santa Maria Novella Tobacca Toscana.  You can find a similar leather note in Chanel’s Cuir de Russie.  Dzing! doesn’t have as much birch tar but there’s a similarity in those two.  I love them both.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I wonder what else we will look back at and think…. ahh, should have bought a backup…
