Eau du Soir (from 2010), and Soir d’Orient (2015).
Because I’m fairly familiar with Sisley’s perfumes, I was pretty confident blind-buying Soir d’Orient. It is a spicy-rose-chypre and I read some reviews from those who had both scents and mentioned their similarities. Sisley loves chypre-style scents, and their chypre base is iconic.
Soir d’Orient has the same sharpness as Eau du Soir, but with spicy rose in its opening. The spice fades (or maybe I get used to it), but the rose stays and the chypre base is a hit of freshness. This perfume has a zesty bite that is so refreshing! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
All that is great but Soir d’Orient is not as potent or as long-lasting as Eau du Soir. I don’t mind. I think of Eau du Soir as perfect for going out, and Soir d’Orient better for staying in when I don’t mind if my scent fades a little. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Both of these are great summer scents. They’re interesting and have a sharp freshness. Soir d’Orient has a freshness that’s less sharp but it’s still there, and I enjoy it. This is also a highly complimented scent for me!
