I’ve always been a huge fan of Elnett hairspray so I really wanted to try their heat protection sprays. There’s a version for curls and a version for straightening your hair, and I checked out both.
First, I tried the one for curls. I didn’t like it. My curls didn’t stay whereas they normally do and I think that the spray weighed my hair down so that it didn’t retain the bounce of the curls.
After that experience I wasn’t that interested in trying the Straight version of the spray, but then one day before blowdrying it’s what came into my hand and I tried it. The L’Oreal Elnett Satin Heat Styling Spray Straight styling spray is extremely light and comes out in a superfine mist. It seemed to help my hair dry really fast, and I loved that because I didn’t have to apply as much heat on it. The spray is supposed to keep your hair straight for 3 days, and although it wasn’t as straight as it is when I blow-dry it, it looked good enough on day 3 that I didn’t feel like I had to rewash my hair. I used lots of dry shampoo and I was good to go.
Also, sometimes I wash my hair at night but don’t want to blow-dry it for fear of waking the whole house; I’ve found that in the morning I can just spray my hair with this Heat Styling Spray and then blowdry!
