The Estee Lauder Double Wear line is makeup that’s meant to last a long time, and there are some real winners. The regular Double Wear foundation is Estee Lauder’s best-selling, and I love their mascara.
If you’re a fan of foundation that lasts the whole day but don’t want to wear anything heavy, you should try the Double Wear Light Foundation.
It’s got the coverage of a tinted moisturizer (meaning sheer to light) but it goes one step further: it stays on all day! Even if you have oily skin, you’ll see that this does not break down or turn orange on the skin. It just wears and wears. Also, you don’t need to apply powder on top of it because it sets to a matte finish, and you can almost look like you’re not wearing foundation at all.
If you have normal to dry skin, I would definitely recommend moisturizing beforehand so that it doesn’t stick to any dry spots. The foundation is only available in 12 shades, but that’s ok. It’s sheer so you might even find that more than 1 shade works for your skin tone.
My colour is 3W1 and it matches my skin tone almost exactly.
$52 at Estee Lauder counters.
Is this a permanent product or a limited edition one?
It’s permanent. I didn’t mean you should run out and get it because it’ll never come back, but I know that it just made it on to counters a couple of weeks ago and most of them are already sold out of most colours, which is quick. So if you want to try it now…. get it now, otherwise you may be waiting a long time to get your colour.
This sounds like a very good option for me. I tried the normal Double Wear and even though it stayed put, I did not like the heavy coverage. This lighter version might be just what I need!
Yup, this is just for those users who found the regular Double Wear to be too heavy. I like this bottle better too.
Have you tried the shades yet? I have quite pale skin, not tanned at all. Do you happen to know which is betta for me? Intensity 1 or 2? Thank you so much!
I would say 1. I have both 2 and 3.
Thanks! Can I just ask what skin tone are you?
I’m medium-toned. I use Shade 3!
