I went on a quest to find the best tinted moisturizer out there.
I also tested coloured mascara to see what all the fuss was about.

Who remembers this lipstick and who still has it? Wish I had taken a picture to post…
When I was in England, L’Oreal had brought out lipsticks in the signature colours of all their spokespersons. This included lipcolours that had been worn by Penelope Cruz, Milla Jovovich, and of course Aishwarya Rai. They didn’t introduce the colours as a limited-edition product – they were available all year round. Funnily enough, the Aishwarya lipstick was the one that suited me the best. It was the perfect nude lip colour – last weekend as I put it on at a baby shower, one of my friends even asked me: “Are you putting on lipstick that’s the exact same shade as your lips?” Well, yes, yes I was, but it’s the colour that I want my lips to be uniformly.
Anyway, finally I bought the lipstick because it was just too perfect a colour. As if owning the lipstick wasn’t bad enough, her autograph was on every single tube so people would know that I had the Aish lipstick whenever I took it out. Nevertheless, like I said, the colour was too perfect.
I’m not usually a cleanser bar fan, but this is the perfect thing to have in the shower.

This is an effective foaming but creamy cleanser that works without making skin too dry. It’s great at taking off makeup but doesn’t sting when you get it in your eyes. I use it all over my body because it’s so gentle and creamy, but I really love it on my face. It takes off everything – except for waterproof mascara – and that’s ok with me.
Available at drugstores and mass merchandisers – $7.99.
This is absolutely my favourite shampoo right now – the Shu Uemura Muroto Volume collection is perfect for fine hair.

So truth be told, as much as I review dry shampoos on the blog all the time, I actually don’t use them that often. Probably not even once a week. My favourite thing to do is work out and then shampoo my hair, and I love the feeling of really clean hair. A double cleanse with this shampoo does the trick, and it leaves hair super duper shiny.
The conditioner is light too – but the shampoo is really what shines.
Available online and at salons for $46. The hair mask is $66.
I’ve always said that I’m not that particular about cleansers – as long as they can take my makeup off, I’m happy. But this time, I’ve come across a cleanser that’s truly supreme.
The Fresh Soy Face Cleanser is a gel formula that just slips on to skin. It doesn’t foam because it doesn’t have any foaming agents in it, and that’s what makes it super gentle on skin.
Does it take off makeup? It does, but I have to admit that it doesn’t get all of my mascara and waterproof eyeliner off. After cleansing my skin, I still have to go over my eyes with an eye makeup remover.
But the fresh cucumber-scented emulsion that is this cleanser is just so nice to use, especially at the end of a long day, that I just can’t help but reach for it every night and in the morning.
I guess there’s a good reason this is the #1 cleanser sold at Sephora!
Fresh is available at Sephora. 50ml of this cleanser is $17.50.
This fall, Vichy introduces a new mask to their lineup: it’s the Charcoal Clarifying Mask and it’s perfect for all skin types but because of the oil-absorbing charcoal and clay, it’s especially great for oily skin.

The mask has a refreshing smooth gel-like consistency which is a nice break from other charcoal masks. It’s not dry or drying. The mask also has kaolin in it which also helps absorb oil and leaves skin feeling smooth.

The mask smells amazing. Like all Vichy masks do. This one has notes of dry sandalwood and so putting the mask on is relaxing all around. You enjoy the smell as you put the mask on your face, and you enjoy it as you sit with it on. It’s so nice to just lie back and smell good.
Pick it up online or at Shoppers Drug Mart. $34.
Here’s your first look at the Hello Kitty Holiday 2019 collection from OPI. All products are in salons now. I haven’t tried all the colours yet, I’m loving the glittery shimmery pink and purple in the last image.

Here’s a quick video about how to highlight and contour. I got lots of requests from friends to do this one, as I think it looks easy but people are scared to try it. Definitely, one of the keys is using this amazing L’Oreal Paris Infallible Contour palette because it’s easy to blend and light.
I hope you enjoy the video!
