Fenty Beauty Eaze Blurring Skin Tint Review

This is the Eaze Blurring Skin Tint. It’s a sheer tint with a bit of a matte finish but it’s super skin-like. I used the colour 12 in the video but since then, I think I’m more of a 10 if you’re comparing to yourself and wondering what colour you should get.

The 10,12,14 are warm-toned slightly yellow colours and they work really well on my skin. I’m super impressed with the shade selection and the lasting power. You can also build coverage – let it set and then see what happens. Anyway, the finish lasts all day and you could set it with powder but you definitely don’t have to. Even worn alone, these work so well but I would powder before adding a powder blush or bronzer on top. I was impressed by how well the foundation held up in hot weather where my makeup usually just melts off.

I compared this side by side to my other foundations, and I loved how it’s not shiny but not too matte.

Try it.

Givenchy Dahlia Divin Le Nectar

TextLike being dipped in a jar of vanilla syrup and not being able to escape, except instead of syrup it’s literally the crush of older aunties, their bangles clinking as they pinch your cheeks, too much lipstick, crazy amounts of food, fizzy drinks and dizzying music, itchy outfits, friends you see on special occasions.

The next time you see them, you’ll be taller and so will they, new outfits bought specially for this smell. The florals and sweetness blending into the hall, seeping into your hair, making you forget that the smell isn’t yours and it came from somewhere else.

Givenchy Dahlia Divin Le Nectar de Parfum: so intense that it’s best for cold days or fancy nights out.

Atkinsons London 24 Old Bond Street

Text
I got bored of my own perfume so I dipped into everyone else’s, but my favourite was this Atkinson’s 24 Old Bond St. which I gave to my dad many years ago. It’s a refreshing blend that’s not aquatic or citrusy but still fresh. The main notes to my nose are cardamom and black tea, with a good dose of ambergris when it heats up a bit. The ambergris adds a saltiness to the tea, and a bit of zing to what would otherwise be a boring aquatic. This is seaside and seashells, but also a bit of musk that helps it last longer, sweetens up the saline a bit, bolsters everything else.

My dad’s review is that this was good but it lost its luster after a few wears.

Did it go bad?

No, it just stopped being good in a way that never happens to the Polo’s and Boss’s.

Personally, I think it’s the ambergris. I find that ambergris fatigues my nose and I can’t wear it very much, certainly not day after day, and I wouldn’t be surprised if my dad’s nose is the same.

Anyway, I offered to take this almost-empty bottle off his hands and he said no way, my daughter gave it to me so I’m wearing every last drop.

If you go on Fragrantica there are some hilarious reviews including one that idealized the British Raj, and no, this does not smell like the best of colonial times regardless of the tea and cardamom notes. I had to read the review out loud to my dad, and we couldn’t stop laughing, and then he said, I guess this what all you perfume writers do. Uh, what?

Anyway, this is unisex with excellent longevity, and it was a pleasure for me to wear here and there. I wouldn’t even mind owning a bottle.

New Stubborn Acne Collection from Neutrogena

Neutrogena has a new collection of products for acne… an update to what they’ve had forever, some of which I grew up using. Actually, the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Lotion was the first face cream I ever bought for myself because it has glycolic and salicylic in it and I always had a backup bottle. It was $11 at the time.

But now there are more ingredients and allowing you to tackle acne from all the angles. There’s the Daily Serum which has 10% glycolic acid, mandelic and polyhydroxy acids in it too. There’s also a morning treatment with 2.5% benzoyl peroxide. Not too strong but a good starting point especially if you have a teen in your life who is just starting to see some breakouts.

What’s most interesting is that there’s also a mild retinol part of the line. I haven’t seen this kind of marketing from other brands although in the skincare space, Differin is often seen as an acne treatment (but talk to your doctor about it first). Everything is nicely formulated and works well together and you don’t have to have acne to use 3 of the 4 products I’ve shown. The only thing I’m not using right now is the AM treatment because that has the benzoyl peroxide in it.

The only thing that’s missing is sun protection and I think it would have been a nice touch to include a specific one for this line – especially since I think teenagers are going to use it and it would be good if they could have a sunscreen for their own, so to speak. Plus, all the products make your skin extra sensitive to the sun, and you should be wearing sun protection if you’re using them.

Get the Most Out of Your Panels

Once upon a time, the photovoltaic system was a standard fixture in the mansions of the well-to-do. It’s quite rare among people of middle age. Today, though, this isn’t the situation at all, since solar panels are more popular than ever. Because of its positive impact on the environment, governments in industrialized nations actively promote the installation of solar panels. Because of this, the solar sector is seeing a rise in the number of new businesses each year.

Engineers are now using production planners as another cost-cutting measure. So now, many more individuals may benefit from solar panels without them having to sacrifice quality or cost. The lower manufacturing cost is a direct result of the growing number of people interested in solar panels. For this reason, solar companies are becoming more important in the quest to provide widespread access to power in third world nations. How can you take use of these opportunities now that they exist? Keep reading to see how you may benefit from the expanding solar panel market.

Know what you need

Many people who have good intentions but poor execution wind up missing out on solar energy’s benefits. The installation of solar panels is more of a specialized than a generalized task, which many naive homeowners fail to realize. Prioritizing your own requirements should be your priority while searching for a reliable solar company in California. In other words, the needs of your neighbors won’t be the same as your own. Relying only on the advice of your loved ones, however well-intentioned, is never a good idea. If you want to get the greatest solar panel for your house in California, you need look into the topic more.

The goal of minimizing expenses is also important in making the best decision. It is for this reason that the majority of solar panel manufacturers have used hybrid systems. Your solar energy provider may suggest this setup so you may use solar power year-round. Meaning you won’t have to worry about running out of juice when the sun goes down.

What you require for your house

It’s important to stress that not every house owner will have a clear idea of what they need. Here, you may want to seek the help of businesses that specialize in solar panels. Seasoned solar panels companies will know what you absolutely need and what you can go without. The size, shape, and kind of solar panels you choose will have major implications for your home’s appliances. You need to know that the size of your solar panels will change depending on how many appliances you want to power.

When planning a spending plan

The amount of money you have available might also play a role in determining how many solar panels you really need. You should verify that you can afford the solar company’s services before asking them. Prices may normally be available on a company’s website, allowing you to quickly and easily compare different installers’ quotes. On the other hand, if you’re on a tight budget, you shouldn’t waste time or resources on a project that won’t bring in much. Finding out whether you are qualified for government grants will help you pay for the service you want even if you don’t have the money for it.

Conclusion

With the right knowledge, solar panels can provide their full potential. If a solar firm can tell you whether or not you qualify for government assistance, you’ve essentially solved the problem on your own. Meanwhile, ignorance may have led you to believe that this was completely out of the question. If you don’t have the money to pay solar firms for the information you need, you should try to get it elsewhere. Every person who has ever considered installing solar panels on their home will benefit from reading this guide, along with the many other informative publications accessible online.

Fenty Skin Hydro Vizor Sunscreen

Opening up a box of Fenty Skin Hydro Vizor Sunscreen.

Have you noticed that a lot of new packaging is refillable as brands try to be sustainable. I think it’s good in theory. I just don’t know if I’ll commit. I just remembered that my Fenty Beauty powder is refillable so I need to grab that.

I’ve tried this sunscreen on in store and because it’s a chemical sunscreen it is totally clear. It’s also not greasy at all and has an almost powdery satin finish. It feels like nothing on. It’s very light.

Have you used this? What do you think about refillable skincare or sunscreen?

Charlotte Tilbury Makeup I’ve Been Loving

Here’s some makeup I’ve made a major dent in. I know I show a lot of the latest and greatest makeup, but maybe you’re wondering what I actually use. Well these are the things that have stayed, sometimes as backups when the new thing doesn’t work. I’ve got them all within reach, and over the past year or so, I’ve used them a LOT. These are all by Charlotte Tilbury, some received in PR but not the contour compact. So take a look:

The Beautiful Skin Foundation. I just love the finish although it is super glossy. I powder on top and it’s still glossy looking but it just makes your skin look so healthy. I use the colour 7W.

Then the Lip and Cheek Glow in Color of Dreams. It’s the blush I use everyday, and I dab it on my lips too, with a lipbalm underneath. I hit pan on this, that’s how much I’ve used it. The lasting power is great, despite it being so creamy, I do powder on top, and I love how subtle it is and how blendable.

The contour palette. This is the Filmstar Bronze and Glow but in a cream formula that was limited edition. I use my fingers to apply and it blends to a very natural finish.

Finally, the Pillow Talk eyeshadow palette. As you can see, I use the glitter shade the most, but I’ve been using all the shades to prime my lids. I’ve been keeping things easy by sticking to neutrals and I think that’s why I always keep this palette on hand.

Empties: Charlotte Tilbury, Murad, La Roche Posay Sunscreen, Neutrogena

A few empties.

TextI haven’t posted in a while because I got tired of the constant roundup of these but now I’m back… I mean it was summer so sunscreen finished regularly, which is to be expected and I still have a few open because I’m still out and about. Anyway, let’s start with a couple of rose-scented hair products I finished. If you’re a hair person, Christophe Robin has the best scents and they are on the strong side. I do like that.

If you’re looking for a rose-scented hair product, here are 2 options, and you really get what you pay for.

The Aveeno Rose Water and Chamomile Blend Shampoo has a nice rosy scent, but it doesn’t last. The Christophe Robin Volume Conditioner with rose extracts smells strongly of rose water, and not only will you smell it in your hair for days, it’ll give you a little scent bubble to enjoy too.

Some people don’t like a long-lasting hair product smell, because they’re going to add more perfume on top, and in that case, the Aveeno is perfect. You get a fresh rose scent in the shower and that’s it.

I also finished the Charlotte Tilbury Push Up Lashes mascara. When you see that a mascara doesn’t give oomph like it used to, it’s time to change it out. The huge tub of Keri is from last year.

The Murad sunscreen is totally clear and I have a reel of it posted. La Roche Posay sunscreen is a fav and the Neutrogena Skin Balancing cleanser worked well and smelled so good! Kind of fresh but earthy. I like the clay in it because it left my skin matte but it wasn’t too foaming so I didn’t find it to be drying. I would definitely use this again. Enjoy the rest of your day wherever you are!

MAC Lipstick in Modesty

MAC Lipstick in Modesty. A bit lighter than Charlotte Tilbury Pillowtalk which is lighter than Nars Dolce Vita. Dolce Vita is so creamy and shiny and it’s really my favourite. What do you think?
