New Belif Vitamin C Cream

TextIt is mango season, but also my mango picture went perfectly with this new Belif Aqua Bomb Brightening Vitamin C cream. I’ve added it into my routine as a moisturizer – it’s super light so I use it in the morning before sunscreen. The cream does have dimethicone in it so the texture is a bit slippery but that’s great. Seems to leave my skin a bit more matte too.

The jar boasts that this has 4 different kinds of Hyaluronic acid, and that’s an ingredient I can take or leave because it doesn’t do much for my skin, but one of the main ingredients in this is glycerin which my skin loves especially if it’s already loaded up with serums.

I know many people love Belif because their products are super hydrating but I’m just now trying out the brand. I also have a lip balm I’m using and I love that, as well as a couple of little minis.

Empties: K18, Olaplex, Live Clean, Skin Proud, Ren

TextOne oldie and one newbie! I am still on the fence about K18 but I’ve gotten into the habit of using it every other time and it’s kind of a “just in case” what if it works kind of hair product for me. I normally use a leave-in conditioner anyway so why not use this one. I finished a few other things.

Live Clean Intense Moisture lotion. I’m sure I’ve had this for like 2 years and it’s done. This is a great moisturizer for the body and not that expensive. I loved the fragrance-free version.

Skin Proud Detox Tonic. I will always prefer something in a pump bottle like this. This lactic acid toner was very gentle. The line is available at Walmart.

Ren Ever Calm overnight recovery balm. I’ve been keeping these balms on hand and they’re great. My hands are so dry these days.

Olaplex Bond Smoother Leave In Styling Cream. Again, I don’t know. Not a fav and I didn’t like the smell. I did end up buying the oil at the Sephora sale. Have you tried any of these?

New Kiehl’s Cloud Cream

Dreaming of fluffy clouds thanks to the new Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Omega Rich Cloud Cream.

The texture really is cloud-like and I love that they matched the name to the concept. The cream isn’t too rich and has a slightly sating finish so it’s not too greasy.

If you’re already used the Midnight Recovery Concentrate, you’ll be familiar with the botanical scent thanks to some botanical oils in the formula. I was a huge fan of the Midnight Recovery oil when it first came out, because yes, the scent is comforting and theoil is pretty thin so it absorbs into your skin quickly. I always woke up with glowy skin that wasn’t overly oily which was a nice change for me.

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream Texture

TextThat magic cream. I had to show off the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream. It’s rich and thick but it melts into your skin. People say that this makes a great primer and I’m sure it does if it can keep flaky skin at bay. I have fairly oily skin but it gets dry when I use my retinol so I use this at night. It has a lovely gardenia scent. I like that too. Really think of it as a luxurious moisturizer.

Have you tried this? What were your thoughts?

Balanciaga Florabotanica Review

TextThe most perfect spring time fragrance. Balenciaga Florabotanica. Easily found online or at the drugstore, this is a garden in the rain with roses, carnations, and greens. It’s cool and intense – sillage and longevity too! It’s almost as good as taking a walk in the rain.. but let’s face it, NOTHING is as good as that. Easy, breezy, loved by many and even office appropriate. It makes me think of careless days, being 4 years old and playing outside. Have you pulled out your spring fragrances yet?

Physican’s Formula Diamond Melt-allic Liquid Eyeshadow

Dragonfly eyeshadow today… I was tempted to take it all the way up to the eyebrows just for the ‘gram but I had a brunch to go afterwards and I didn’t want to look like an influencer.

Physician’s Formula Diamond Melt-allic liquid eyeshadow actually goes on pretty subtle and is totally wearable. This is your basic liquid eyeshadow and it dries to a long-wear finish. I like it for dressing up and going out.

What do you think, would you wear it? I’m wearing the purple duo-chrome shade on my eyelids and I love it. Purple just makes brown eyes pop a little bit more.

And yes, I almost got blinded taking those selfies in full sunlight but the eyeshadow just wasn’t showing up otherwise.

New Products from Aveeno, Mineral Fusion, and Boscia Eye Masks

TextA few things that I’ve been trying out. First of all, this Aveeno collection of skincare.

Smooth and light from beginning to end. I’m such a sucker for a gel cream because of that smooth texture. I’m using this in the morning under my sunscreen. The cleanser is non-foaming and very gentle. Not great for removing makeup but if you don’t wear makeup then this is a good one.

Boscia under eye masks. There microcrystal mask pricks your skin and dissolves in it delivering skincare benefits along the way. Yes, it really works but you have to leave it on for 2 hours. That’s a long time, but overnight is even better. I can’t leave them on overnight, but I’ll throw them on while I’m watching Netflix.

Mineral Fusion Nail Polishes. I like them but the brush is super annoying. The formula is definitely long-wearing and I noticed that I had very little chipping even when I wore the black colour. Of course, I always use a primer and a top coat. The light pink shade Is called Sweet Dreams and it’s the most perfect pink ever.

Empties: Bumble and Bumble, Murad, Strivectin, Ameliorate, Nars

I will always love rain.

Ok, things I finished. The best foot cream. I am definitely going to get this again. I got it from LookFantastic.ca. If you shop there, tell me what you get so I can get free shipping.

A couple of things from Bumble and Bumble and I know people asked me about them. The Post-Workout spray is amazing and I use it after working out. You spray on sweaty hair and kind of just let it set. You could blow-dry or heat style after if you needdd to.

The Blonde Shampoo is ok. It makes my hair so shiny and I think it would be great for blonde hair because it would get any build-up out and just make highlights brighter.

Murad Intense Recovery Cream. This is the second jar I’ve gone through and it is so nice. It melts into an oil in your hands.

Favourite sunscreen from Strivectin. Vitamin C and Sunscreen in a jar. Love it.

Nars lipgloss… I’ve gone through at least 1 a month, which lets me make room for new lipgloss or balm. This one was nice and not sticky.
