…or why you need to spend less for a better foundation.
Ok, so I have to admit that I’m totally a department store foundation girl, by which I mean that foundation is definitely a justified splurge for me. But then I tried the Maybelline Dream Wonder Liquid foundation, and so things have changed some.
Check out the video I made describing the foundation and how it compares to Lancome’s Miracle Air de Teint.
Thanks, Henna. My sister and I always look forward to your videos.
I will definitely be picking up this foundation. I love Lancome’s formula and the dropper (which I prefer to the Maybelline applicator, for hygienic reasons), but I am having a hard time finding a shade. I tried the 035 because my skin is very yellow but that was even a bit too yellow for me. and the 01 was not yellow enough…I will try mixing those shades if this Maybelline one doesn`t work out. I also used to use only department store foundations (and makeup in general) but I have recently tried out a bunch of drugstore products and have been impressed by their formulas. Maybelline is my new favourite drugstore brand after yeas of being a LÒreal devotee (I still really like their products too, though). I am loving their Volum`Express Colossal formulas
Thanks so much for your comments, M! I totally hear you about the hygienic issue, and I think a lot of people are in the same boat. The other drugstore brand I really like is Revlon, so check them out as well!
I totally agree with foundations being a justified splurge. I just switched up my foundation from Clinique Even Better to Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Flawless. When its amazing and sits beautifully on my skin its worth every penny of its $60 price tag.
Can u pls recommend what shade will be in Maybelline Dream wonder liquid foundation if I’m NC 42 in MAC? I live in India and I want someone to get this for me from US
HI Maneesha
I actually don’t know because I mixed two colours to get my own perfect shade. Maybe try 85 Sun Beige?
