Tom Ford Private Blend Atelier D’Orient Fragrance Collection Review

tom ford atelier d'orientI think it’s probably not surprising that Tom Ford makes my favourite perfumes.  The brand has only the best whether it’s shoes, clothes, or makeup, and the perfume collection is an amazing blend of truly unique scents that smell high-end and clean.  I love them because unlike a lot of cheaper and more mainstream perfumes, none of these are overloaded with vanilla or amber.  I’ve said many times that often scents smell really sweet on me, so those are two ingredients I really try to avoid, and I don’t have to try too hard when I go to the Tom Ford counter!  I find that all the scents are easy to wear and if you have trouble finding a signature scent, you should really check out this counter.

The Atelier D’Orient fragrance collection has four scents: Plum Japonais, Shanghai Lily, Rive D’Ambre, and Fleur de Chine.

I loved the lush fruitiness of Plum Japonais, the warmth of Rive D’Ambre (it doesn’t get too sweet, which is also nice), and the floral bouquet of Fleur de Chine, but my absolute favourite is Shanghai Lily.

It’s because the lily is blended with frankincense which smells rich and musty, and a touch of vanilla which gives it a hint of sweetness.  It’s a lush yet wearable scent that lasts and lasts.

You can find Tom Ford Private Blend perfumes at Holt Renfrew or Harry Rosen stores.

$230 for 50ml or $570 for 250 ml.
