Thanks so much for the video, Henna! I picked up the L’oreal Butterfly mascara after seeing your recommendation. I have also recently gone back to many drugstore products after using exclusively department store makeup for the last few years. My skin tone is very similar to yours, so finding the right foundation can be a challenge. I am very happy to see more yellow-based shades in the drugstores. In the comments section of a previous post, you had listed Revlon as one of your favourite drugstore brands. Which specific products of theirs would you recommend? I love their lipsticks and love their coloured balms even more, and was thinking of trying their lip crayons. Thanks so much!

I rarely go to walmart, much for the same reasons as you. I don’t know what the scene is like over in Calgary, but in Montreal the walmarts are few and far between and they’re usually in really out-of-the-way areas. Sadly, the one closest to me (½ hour bus ride!!) is pitiful. The cosmetics section is always ransacked, there are next to no testers, and the selection is small. I much prefer to go to my Pharmaprix, which is a godsend. Seriously, living far from a good pharmacy would be torture.

Can’t wait for the Maybelline Fit Me review because I’ve been intrigued for a long time but so often let down by drugstore foundations. 🙂

    Hey Vero!

Pharmaprix is indeed awesome. Mine even gives out samples if you can find the right sales associate. 😉
