I almost didn’t feel like myself putting on this 80’s style chypre. It’s been a while since I’ve worn Sisley Eau de 2 because I’ve been leaning into my cozier perfumes more, and really wearing my samples a lot. This is pointy, sharp, mossy, and with an unseasonably warm fall day, it was now or never. Of course, a few hours in, this lost its crisp edges and becomes woodier, friendlier, like a villain on Dallas who wears shoulder pads to hide a soft heart, who became understandable once you heard the back story. A perfume from different times.
