Tom Ford Violet Blonde

I got this little mini so many years ago, when there weren’t that many Tom Ford perfumes, and definitely the private blends weren’t out yet. Violet Blonde really spoke to me because it’s a cool dusty floral, the kind that I hadn’t ever smelled at the time, and I definitely didn’t own. It is in line with the kinds of scents I know I like now: violet, orris, and a cedarwood/vetiver dry down that gives it that dusty feel. It reminds me of old libraries, maybe the kind with an overgrown garden outside. I love the powder in the notes and the sophisticated aloofness of this scent. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Anyway, I loved this so much that I tucked it away to save for special occasions, I thought I’d eventually buy a larger bottle, only to find out that it’s been discontinued. I guess I shouldn’t have waited 10 years. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀It’s impossible to find anywhere, but maybe they’ll bring it back.
