Why is My Sunscreen Pilling?

Unpopular opinion: it’s not your sunscreen, it’s your skincare. ⠀⠀⠀Text⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Sometimes I get dm’s or comments from people telling me that the sunscreen I just reviewed pills. I’ve tested quite a few in the last little while, and I’ve just found 1 that pilled on me! It wasn’t the Neutrogena Hydro Boost but this one has reportedly pilled on a lot of people. I think it’s because it has a silicone base that doesn’t always play well with an oily moisturizer. If you put oil on your face, or you use a moisturizer that’s oily, then certain sunscreens (or even makeup primers) are not going to work. The oil makes the sunscreen pill!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Anyway, I’m reaching for this Neutrogena Hydro Boost sunscreen these days, because it’s light and works for face and body. If you have sensitive eyes, this isn’t for you, because it does sting if sweat gets into your eyes. It’s great for the body though and for reapplying.
